The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is the federal leader in the Nation's transportation enterprise. DOT's mission is to develop transportation policies and programs consistent with the objectives of the U.S. DOT's top priority is safety while preserving environmental quality.
The Research and Special Programs Administration coordinates DOT's involvement with the CaFCPCalifornia Fuel Cell Partnership. This includes the Federal Transit Administration's fuel cell bus program and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle safety program. DOT supports the CaFCP goals and is working to provide the public with the information needed to have confidence in fuel cell vehicles and their supporting infrastructure.
