For the first time, Mercedes-Benz has applied all development and production standards associated with series production to its soon to be released fuel cell vehicle, the B-Class F-CELL. Approximately 200 vehicles will be delivered to customers in the U.S. and Europe starting in 2010 as part of a special lease program. The B-Class F-CELL drive system technology is based on the latest generation fuel cell system which is some 40 percent smaller than its A-Class F-CELL predecessor, but produces 30 percent more power while consuming 30 percent less fuel.
