The Youth Energy Summit, Leadership in Action is designed as a four-part high school, student outreach program implemented by three local electric utilities (SMUD, Roseville Electric and Lodi Electric) as well as the LegiSchool project of California State University at Sacramento. The objective of the Youth Energy Summit (YES) program is to educate junior and senior high school students on various energy issues, enlist youth to disseminate energy efficiency and climate change information within our community, establish an understanding of the legislative process and encourage green workforce development.
