Supervisor Josie Gonzales Named 2011 Steering Team Chair of the California Fuel Cell Partnership

Sacramento, Calif. — The California Fuel Cell Partnership announced that Josie Gonzales Supervisor for San Bernardino County’s 5th District,  has been appointed 2011 Steering Team Chair.

The CaFCP Steering Team chair position changes every year, rotating through the four categories of partners: auto manufacturers, energy providers, fuel cell technology companies and government agencies. The vice chair becomes the chair the following year.

Josie Gonzales is currently serving her second term as Supervisor for San Bernardino County’s 5th District and was appointed as the County’s representative on the South Coast AQMD Governing Board in 2009. Prior to being elected 5th District Supervisor, she served for six years as a Councilmember for the City of Fontana. As Chair for the Fontana Redevelopment Agency and the Chair for the Fontana Downtown Revitalization Task Force, she focused on providing safe, affordable housing for seniors, local access to higher education opportunities, beautification of open space areas, and funding for the City’s new library. Supervisor Gonzales is also a successful small business entrepreneur. With her parents she owned Mexico Lindo Restaurant that proudly served the Inland Empire for 46 years.
