Jim Petrecky; Director of Hydrogen, Americas, Europe, and Oceania

Jim Petrecky is Director of Hydrogen Energy for North America, Europe, & Oceania for PDC Machines. He is responsible for expansion of hydrogen compression and infrastructure business as well as commercialization of the SimpleFuel hydrogen station. Jim has over 15 years of experience in the hydrogen industry in the roles of sales, business development, marketing, product management and engineering.

Kareem Afzal; Vice President, PDC Machines

Mr. Kareem Afzal is the Vice President of PDC Machines, a company that provides engineered solutions for clean fuel refueling stations, gas producing, chemical and petrochemical companies worldwide. PDC Machines is the world’s leading provider of compression technology to the early market hydrogen energy and refueling market for fuel cell cars, buses, trucks, forklifts, trains and so on. PDC is a scaling achieving record revenue and unit sales year on year for the last 8 years. PDC is constantly innovating to mean and exceed the hydrogen industry’s needs- growing our product portfolio through direct product development investments and through partnerships.

Kareem started his career as a design engineer, working on product and project design for industrial and specialty gas markets and at the time the early demonstration market of the hydrogen energy business. After 15 years in engineering, Kareem moved to sales and business development and now leads the worldwide team. During his time as VP, PDC started 4 offices overseas to enable direct to customer sales and support for PDC’s equipment.

Kareem is deeply passionate about hydrogen as a fuel. He served as the PDC representative to the executive committee of the Fuel Cell Hydrogen and Energy Association's Board of Directors. PDC also is a member of the California Hydrogen Business Council, The Center for Hydrogen Safety, SAE China Hydrogen group and serves on multiple codes and standard bodies supporting the development of hydrogen codes and standards.
