1:00 PM—The California Energy Commission will conduct a public webinar with the Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP) at the University of California, Irvine to report on the initial steps of the California Renewable Hydrogen Generation Plant Deployment Roadmap. The Energy Commission is seeking input from stakeholders to inform the Roadmap.
The goal of this webinar is for hydrogen industry stakeholders to hear about UCI’s completed work and to discuss ideas for technological improvements the future may bring for renewable hydrogen generation plants. The results of this webinar will provide: (1) immediate insight into the size, location, technology, costs, input feedstocks, and distribution resources required for the early FCEV market; and (2) a plan for the roll-out of production facilities to full build-out to support the mature FCEV market and to meet the goals of SB 1505. The Roadmap will incorporate lessons learned from industry initiatives and projects to develop renewable hydrogen production facilities in California.
